About Me

Summary

I initially gained enthusiasm for computer science through a Girls Who Code club in my freshman year of high school. As the current President of this club, I am constantly looking for ways to improve myself and my peers in programming. I am using my background in computer programming to teach younger girls in my community to code while motivating them to pursue careers in tech. Creating these coding opportunities for others has empowered me to further impact the world around me throughout my career.

Aspirations

As I pursue a degree in computer science, I aim to apply the programming expertise I accumulate from my courses and peers to broaden my understanding of what I am capable of through computer programming. I strive to further this goal by gaining hands-on experience in internships and similar opportunities. Such experiences to explore my interests in the context of computer science will narrow my goals; I will gain a better understanding of what I wish to make a difference in and how I can make an impact using computer science.

Meanwhile, I was recently gifted a Raspberry Pi over the holidays and am tinkering with it to further grasp the relationship between computer programming and hardware. My curiosity about the various ways computer science seeps into everyday life motivates me to explore fields connected to computer science in my free time.
